A brief History:

Gargi College was established in the year 1967 and is affiliated to Delhi University (DU) and has been one of the bests of South Delhi Colleges.

UGC (University Grants Commission), in the year 2004-2005, awarded the institution “College with a potential for Excellence” for its academic excellence and granted to handle advanced research and socially purposeful projects.

Department of biotechnology Ministry of Science & Technology-Government of India, in the year 2009, awarded the institution the “Star College” Grant and bestowed grant for establishing a bioinformatics facility at Gargi.

 

VISION: To produce women of substance, whose feet will be rooted while their hands reach out to steer change and progress.

GARGI COLLEGE UNIVERSITY OF DELHI – CUT OFF

Admissions into Gargi College are based on the percentages obtained in Intermediate. Hence, Different courses have different cut-offs and are varied for different castes.

In general, cut-off for General category students is 99% for the first phase and reduces up to 92% or so depending on the branch.

In general, cut-off for OBC students is 98% for the first phase and reduces up to 90% or so depending on the branch.

In general, cut-off for SC & ST students is 95% for the first phase and reduces up to 75% or so depending on the branch.
